Location

Based in London, the College of Public Speaking offers its courses and workshops throughout London, the south east and the UK. New courses booking in Bristol from July 2008. We cater for staff at all levels, whether it be for supervisors, managers, busy executives and right up to Board level. We also offer instruction for the effective delivery of technical material.

Trainers

Our lead trainers Michael Ronayne, Vince Stevenson and Richard Johnson have years of experience in the world of speaking and training across some of largest companies in the UK and abroad. We understand the issues involved in influencing people, whether it be senior management or the promotion board in accepting that you are ready for that next major challenge. We all belong to prestigious speakers clubs and regulary deliver speeches. We also participate in National Competitions and therefore ensure that we keep our skills up to date. We work as a cohesive team and support each other in delivering top quality courses and workshops.

Community

The College of Public Speaking also has strong links with the Community having run free workshops at Bromley Field Study Centre and Gordon House, a residential home for people with a gambling addiction.

    • Ice-breaker exercise based on 'tell us why you are the best person for your job'.
    • Understanding how to develop content that will underpin your key messages.
    • Learn techniques to speak with power and persuasion.
    • Understanding your audience, their expectations and how to have them wanting to hear more.
    • Appreciate how to persuade and influence the audience so they agree with your messages.
    • Practice and develop improved speaking skills with reference to vocal techniques and body language.
    • Creative use of appropriate humour and speaking dynamism.
    • Researching the venue - know the layout and format of the speaking event.
    • Use of visual props, laptops and PowerPoint.
    Our training is highly interactive and provides individuals with many opportunities to practise. This includes valuable feedback for each individual speaker. This is interspersed with short presentations on concepts of public speaking and communication as the issues and needs arise.

    Our advanced presentation skills course is a proven path to speaking achievement at advanced levels. At the College of Public Speaking we concentrate on the individual and encourage you to use all aspects of your personality and personal creativity.

    These advanced presentation skills courses run regularly in London. Course & Workshop Dates There is a maximum of seven delegates to ensure that attendees receive detailed individual feedback and many opportunities to practice new techniques. The cost per delegate is £300 + VAT for a weekday course and £175 + VAT for a Saturday course.
