Introductory Presentation Skills Courses
![]() |
Strong communication skills - the cornerstone of personal success.
Do you want to increase your confidence in presenting to an audience?
Do you wish you felt more able to contribute in meetings?
Do you want to add true value to your audience? (Which effectively is the purpose of presentation).
Have you found yourself being asked to speak at a club, society or organisation event? Perhaps you are concerned about having to deliver a presentation at a conference.
If you answered yes to any of the above, then our popular introductory course is ideal for you.
We help people overcome their fears of presentation. We help people build a rapport with their audience so that they want to hear what you have to say. We help people to use their voice and structure their presentations so that audiences do not lose interest.
Our sessions are based on practice, practice, practice. Theory is kept to a minimum and practice to a maximum.
What makes us think that we are qualified to deliver a presentation skills course?
- All of our trainers continually practice the art of presentation - we are all members of speakers clubs that meet twice per month where we hone and refine our skills.
- We give talks and presentations at a wide variety of events including, Rotary Clubs, networking meetings and conferences.
- We offer a BTEC Advanced Level Award in Public Speaking and Presentations. BTEC Awards are nationally administered by Edexcel and as such, are recognised across the UK as a benchmark for practical skills in job competencies.
- How many other presentation skills providers can you find that are able to offer such an award?
Syllabus:
- Ice-breaker exercise based on introducing another member of the group.
- How to build confidence in giving presentations and diminish nerves.
- Appreciate how to structure presentations so that the audience understands the messages that you wish to convey.
- Using your voice to keep the audience focused on your presentation.
- Building a rapport with the audience and winning them around to your way of thinking.
Your instructor will also provide sessions on the magic of words - how and why your choice of strong vocabulary can have a telling impact on your audience. There is also a session on the enduring legacy of Aristotle, and why his teachings are just as valuable today as they were 2300 years ago.
Many of these sessions are videoed and played back to the group for individual and group evaluation. This technique is one of the most powerful available and when deployed with frankness and sensitivity provides startling results. We can also include a session on the effective use of PowerPoint if required by our clients. These presentation skills courses fill quickly, so ring early to avoid disappointment.
