Free Video Resources
Hi, my name is Vince Stevenson, and I was one of the founders of the College of Public Speaking in 2006.
Over the years, I have attracted scores of international students, and it's been a pleasure to work with them.
In recent times, international numbers have dwindled due to world crises. COVID, the effects of Brexit, visa restrictions, high-cost flights, and global uncertainty. Anyone who attends my courses in King's Cross, London, is given access to all my instructional videos, and there are many to enjoy.
This page is for international students whom I recently met through a short business proposal.
On this page, you can access all my professionally recorded videos for free. The links to YouTube and Instagram are below. Best wishes to you all.
The videos were recorded in English and have subtitles. They took a long time to record over many years.
Don't make the mistake of trying to watch them all by going through them one by one. It's better to watch one or two and listen carefully to the message. Then perhaps, make a speech and try to follow my suggestions.
There are many videos on vocal development, posture, breathing, relaxation, structure, and speaking in a timely fashion to the theme of your speech.
A speech must have purpose, and it's bound by time. University lecturers with extensive subject knowledge cannot convey 30 years of experience in a one-hour session. We call it the curse of knowledge. That's why we have to break things down into small chunks or modules, and that one speech can act as part of a module.
The image below demonstrates a fraction of what is available. From the list below, you can start to create playlists on YouTube.
See below for details of a new monthly international public speaking group. We'll meet at 10 am UK time on Saturday, 1st February.
Being in touch via email is fine, but I look forward to meeting you in person.
Sure, there are lots of details and articles about public speaking on this blog, but live discussions are equally fascinating.
If you find that a playlist has run out of entries, don't worry. Type in Vince Stevenson and you'll pick up another thread of my videos.

Vince Stevenson | College of Public Speaking
I have had a long and varied career, initially working for big energy companies in the UK and, after moving to London, for some of the biggest international banks. First in IT roles, then training roles, and in 1990, I started my own freelance IT consultancy. From there, I have worked all over the world, except for Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Perhaps one day that dream will come true.
I found my feet in public speaking through working closely with charities, NGOs, and Voluntary Organisations.
Our venue in King's Cross, London, is owned by Islington Council, and we work closely with their staff and volunteers.

I have started this monthly Zoom session, where you can ask me questions about Public Speaking and also English.
Please send me a short email to indicate your interest, and we can take it from there. Regards Vince
